I joined this wiki because: I enrolled in the E-Learning courses at UW-Stout knowing that instructors need to prepare for the increasing online learning demands in our public schools - these skills will make us better prepared to create our educational solutions. The best word to describe me is: Voyager Interests: People, Learning, Travel, Speed and Making a Positive Difference Favorite movies: Conspiracy Theory, Spy Game, Meet Joe Black, Titanic, August Rush, Sommersby, and the Twilight & HP Series My hero(es): My Gramma Boukje and Ronald Reagan. Why? My Gramma immigrated to Canada when she was 18 years old leaving behind her friends, including a very special guy friend. Her family eventually settled in northern Wisconsin on the south shores of Lake Superior. She was very capable in a variety of domestic skills and was tapped to teach in Ashland and even in Madison - cooking, knitting, and other crafts. She was a life long learner, always finding ways to explore new things - she took classes in pottery and other arts when they were available to her. She raised a daughter that was partially deaf, two teachers, and her youngest son (my father) became an ironworker.Ronald Reagan - what can I say... history can only find good in this man. Truly an American icon - took this inflation ridden country by the horns and assured us of a strong recovery and presence in the world. My superpowers originate from laughter: Me - I seem a bit tired during the day because I'm a superpower at night If I could live anywhere, it would be: North Netherlands, in a province called Friesland My dream job(s): Online Instruction What else you should know about me: I worked in industry for 17+ years before entering education as a Business, Marketing, and Vocational Instructor. This is my 10th year teaching at Somerset Schools.
